MUSIC CHARTER CITY: Charter schools are doing well in Nashville, accounting for over a third of the city’s schools recognized for good work by the Tennessee Department of Education, reports The Tennessean. Placement on the Department’s “reward school” list was based on a combination of scores from the 2013-2014 Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program and year-over-year student gains, measured through the Tennessee Value Added Assessment System.
