Listenwise—Listenwise, a platform that organizes non-fiction, public radio stories for educators and students, has made the “S’Cool Tools of the Week” list before, back when a library technician from California asked us to include it. But today, we’re bringing it back because the platform has just launched assessments for tracking listening skills. Specifically, teachers are now able to to hone in on specific listening strands that students need help with. Teachers can access resources on the Listenwise site, such as listening comprehension questions and audio stories, for free. There is a premium version available for schools to purchase as a site license for the whole school, ranging from $750-$2500 per year. Privacy flag: Teachers can register users younger than 18 years old, but only if he or she is a user’s parent or legal guardian, or an authorized school official.
