The International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL) aims “to catalyze the transformation of K-12 education policy and practice to advance powerful, personalized, learner-centered experiences through competency-based, blended and online learning.” It does this through:
- Advocacy
- Creating knowledge (through research and reports)
- Establishing standards
- Identifying models of next-generation learning
- Spotlighting competencies
- Convening and engaging education experts in networks
Materials include reports to help shape vision, such as:
- What’s Possible with Personalized Learning? An Overview of Personalized Learning for Schools, Families & Communities; and
- Mean What You Say: Defining and Integrating Personalized, Blended and Competency Education.
Other reports dig into the specifics of competency-based education, blended learning and personalized learning as well as how to implement those learning models. Study the evidence with iNACOL’s promising practices resources. Additionally, a section of reports address policy issues.
