Le Wagon, a Paris-based operator of coding bootcamps, has closed a funding round of $19 million led by Cathay Capital and joined by AfricInvest.
Founded in 2013, Le Wagon plans to use the money toward new courses and expand to new geographies, according to TechCrunch. The company currently offers courses in web development and data science, and has 38 campuses across the world. None are in the U.S. The company has about 7,000 graduates, according to its website.
Le Wagon also offers a corporate training package that has been used by L’Oreal, LVMH and others. Other coding bootcamps to attract investor attention lately include Springboard and Ironhack.
