Amy Mason is principal at Madison County Elementary School in Gurley, Ala. She has taught grades 1-4 in Arizona, Indiana, Virginia and Maryland. During her nine years in school administration, she has worked for Howard County Public Schools in Maryland, as well as Huntsville City Schools and Madison County Schools in Alabama. Mason holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Purdue University and a Master of Science in Administration and Supervision from Johns Hopkins University.
Mason has enjoyed many personally and professionally satisfying experiences and high among these was the opportunity to lead Goldsmith-Schiffman Elementary School and Madison County Elementary School through all phases of becoming Lighthouse schools with the Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence.
