Andrea was born and raised in New York City. She studied at Hunter College where she received a Bachelor’s degree in French and Sociology and a master’s in Teaching English as a Second Language. She also received a bachelor’s in Geology from Queen’s College. After serving in the Peace Corps in Niger, West Africa, she began her career as a science teacher in parochial schools in New York. She has taught in both middle school and high school. After 20 years of teaching, Andrea relocated to Las Vegas where she began teaching Earth Science at Odyssey Charter School, a hybrid online school. She is currently the curriculum and professional development coordinator at Odyssey.
