With 25 years of experience teaching chemistry, physical science and physics, Carolyn Fruin believes greater academic success can be achieved when students and teachers have the capacity to interact and share ideas, both inside and outside the classroom. Carolyn has been involved in the development of online learning platforms, has written and evaluated state and national science curriculum, and has developed large scale professional development programs for teachers at all levels. She has presented on integrating instructional technology at multiple conferences and has helped districts launch digital initiatives successfully.
Carolyn is a College Board Consultant for Advanced Placement Chemistry, serves as an online mentor for the New Teacher Center, and co-facilitates Secondary Chemistry Instructor institutes at local universities in Minnesota. Her current position is in the School of Education at Capella University, an online competency-based institution. As a lead curriculum writer and course developer, she manages the creation of professional development, Master’s degree specializations and doctoral programs in digital transformation.
