Cristi Ford, PhD, is Associate Vice Provost and offers leadership in the Center for Innovation in Learning and Student Success at University of Maryland University College. In this role she provides thought leadership in identifying promising next generation online learning innovations and leads the implementation through rapid prototyping and piloting. She has served in a leadership capacity for several strategic adaptive learning pilots at the institution.
Dr. Ford understands the complexities and depths of online learning. She has more than 15 years of cumulative experience in higher education, project management, program evaluation, training, instructional design, and student services. Before joining UMUC, Dr. Ford served in many senior level positions related to online education, including as Director of the Research Academy for Integrated Learning for University of the District of Columbia, founding director of an online campus establishing 23 online degrees, and as an assistant professor.
