David Ciulla is Executive Director of ReadWorks. He joined ReadWorks with broad-based experience in business, education, and entrepreneurship.
David co-founded Sports Basement, a successful San Francisco-based retail company, was a consultant advising U.S. and international business clients, and was an analyst with Chemical Bank in New York. As an educator, for five years David taught English Language Arts and Math, and coached athletics. David has also led business and development projects in the Navajo Nation and the Amazon region of Brazil.
David, who is from North Haven, CT, received his M.A. in International Relations from The Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and his B.A. from Stanford University.
