David Griffith is the senior director of advocacy and government relations, leading ASCD’s efforts to influence education decision-making at the federal, state, and local levels and the development and implementation of the association’s legislative agenda. He has played an instrumental role in promoting multimetric accountability and whole child education policies as well as being an expert and national speaker on the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and the No Child Left Behind Act.
