Deaunna Watson (she/her) is the director of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging at Mercy Montessori School in Cincinnati, where she facilitates learning and designs experiences to help her staff reimagine a world that brings the margins to the center.
Watson believes that it’s necessary to collaborate with communities through the lens of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging to truly achieve the outcomes all people deserve in order to thrive in today’s society. Honoring and centering the human experience is the heartbeat of her work. Watson holds a bachelor's degree in adolescent and young adult education and a master's degree in community and cultural wellness.
