Emily H. Murphy is the co-founder of Avem Education Partners, an education consulting group. She has worked as a principal, coach, teacher and nonprofit leader over the last 20 years.
Prior to Avem Education Partners, Emily served as the Vice President of Schools for Innovate Public Schools, overseeing a leadership training program that has served over 75 school leaders in the Bay Area. She was also a school leader for eight years, including serving as the principal of Aspire’s ERES Academy, a K-8 school in Oakland, which won the California Title 1 Academic Achievement Award and implemented a blending learning model that was featured as one of Education Week’s “Top 10 elementary schools to visit.”
Emily began her educational journey as a 7th grade English teacher through Teach for America. She holds a master’s degree in education policy and management from Harvard Graduate School of Education, a master’s in administration through New Leaders, and a B.A. from Duke University.
