Geoffrey Carlisle taught 8th grade science and sex education for 12 years in Texas and Mississippi. He now leverages his classroom experience to impact education policy and currently serves as a policy consultant at Deans For Impact.
Outside of his day job, he is an active professional development facilitator, writes science curriculum and advocates for LGBTQIA+ rights in the Texas Legislature and State Board of Education. Carlisle is a 2018 Harriett Ball Excellence in Education recipient, was a 2021-2022 EdSurge Voices of Change fellow and is completing his Master's at UT Austin's LBJ School of Public Affairs.
