Irvin Weathersby Jr. has been an educator since 2003. He has worked in high schools and the reentry arena where he served formerly incarcerated persons and court-involved youth. He currently lectures at Queensborough Community College and Hunter College in New York City. His writing has appeared in The Atlantic, The Root, EBONY, Afropunk, Edutopia, and other media outets.
