Isaiah Pickens, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist and a national trauma expert. He previously served as clinical assistant professor at the NYU School of Medicine and as UCLA's assistant director of the service systems program for the National Center for Child Traumatic Stress.
Pickens is the founder of iOpening Enterprises, a professional development and media company that uses psychological science to spark school-wide change and unlock student potential. He is also a suicide prevention trainer and a consultant for trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices in schools, juvenile justice settings, and communities.
Pickens earned his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Fordham University.
