Jamie Munsey has been an educator for going on 17 years. She currently works at South Valley Prep, located in Albuquerque, NM, as Dean of Students, and also teaches reading, gifted, and STEM classes. She received her BS in elementary education from the University of New Mexico in 2001 and received an MA in language, literature, and sociocultural studies with an emphasis in TESOL in 2009. She also recently completed class work to receive her Gifted Endorsement. In her spare time, she is a wife and mother, coaches cross-country for her middle school and enjoys camping and hiking in the vast outdoor opportunities that New Mexico provides.
