Since July 2012, Jeanne Alter has been the executive director of the Kennedy Children’s Center (KCC), a 61-year-old non-profit organization in New York City that provides public preschool programming. With extensive experience in nonprofit management, Alter brings over 30 years of experience in the field of early childhood special education to KCC. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations and compliance regulations of the organization and works closely with 240 dedicated staff members to ensure best practices in education and workforce programs. Alter is a strong and passionate advocate for staff, children and families in New York City.
