Jeehye Shim Deogracias, Ph.D., serves as the senior director of research and evaluation with Breakthrough Collaborative, a national nonprofit equipping underrepresented students to succeed in college and introducing college students to careers in education. In her role, she measures program efficacy and success, and works with the organization’s affiliates to ensure data quality.
Deogracias is based in Virginia and prior to her work with Breakthrough Collaborative, she was a senior research director with Hanover Research, an analyst with Alexandria City Public Schools and an elementary band teacher with Fairfax County Public Schools. She received a bachelor’s degree in flute performance and her teaching certification at the University of Michigan, earned a master’s degree in public policy at Georgetown University, and holds a doctorate in education leadership and policy from the University of Maryland.
