Jessica Hoffmann, Ph.D., is the director of high school initiatives at the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence and an associate research scientist in the Child Study Center. Jessica is a licensed clinical psychologist passionate about working with schools to develop creative interventions for enhancing children’s creative thinking and promoting adaptive coping.
Jessica received her B.A. from Brandeis University, and her M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Case Western Reserve University, where she was awarded the Schubert Center for Child Studies, Cora Unger Brisky Endowment. Her research focuses on the intersection of school climate, social emotional learning, and the development of students’ creative abilities. Jessica collaborates with colleagues in Italy, Spain, and Mexico, and has published many scholarly articles in journals including, Emotion, Educational Psychologist, Creativity Research Journal and the Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology.
