Juliette 'Cricket' Heinze is the Executive Director of Knowledge Sharing at the New York City Department of Education. Before joining the NYCDOE, she worked in education for over twenty years, first as an English teacher in Costa Rica and then as a bilingual Spanish teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District. In addition to being a classroom teacher, she has worked as a researcher, an evaluator, a writer, and a videographer. In all of those roles, she maintained a passion for capturing and sharing best practices from real life classrooms and schools with teachers and principals. She holds a strong belief that leveraging the knowledge that exists within schools has the power to transform teaching and learning. Juliette lives in Brooklyn with her husband and her son, a thriving NYC Pre-K student.
