Kristin Kipp is the chair of education at Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design (RMCAD), supporting a master's program in educational technology and an art educator preparation program. Before coming to RMCAD, she worked for 17 years as a teacher, instructional coach and online educator at the secondary level. She was named the 2011 National Online Teacher of the Year by iNACOL (International Association of K-12 Online Learning). She's also the author of "Teaching on the Education Frontier: Instructional Strategies for Online and Blended Classrooms." Her research interests include building community in online classrooms, learner engagement in online content, and best practices in course design.
