Kristin Kowalew Justice is a social studies teacher and department chair at Bullis School in Potomac, Md. She is a lifelong learner who lived and worked abroad with the international refugee community in Moscow, studied theology and conflict resolution, and worked in international development before becoming a teacher. She has since taught in both the public and private schools in the Baltimore City and Washington, D.C. area. She draws upon her diverse experiences to help students connect their learning in the classroom with the real world in both a personal and communal sense, and see themselves as young leaders and stewards in shaping and transforming local and global issues. Kristin has a passion for working with both students and teachers to elevate teaching and learning combining best practices in student-centered learning and innovation using educational technology.
