Kristin Simmers is an English as an additional language (EAL) educator with a specific interest in how the brain learns. She holds an M.S. in elementary education and an M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction. Simmers has taught in Costa Rica, Switzerland, England and Thailand. In her current role as EAL team leader at NIST International School, Simmers specializes in co-teaching and creating culturally and linguistically responsive classrooms. She also works with schools in the region to advocate for ongoing professional growth in the areas of neurodiversity and inclusion. You can always find her at the local crossfit after dismissal.
