Liz Ramos teaches history and U.S. government at Alta Loma High School in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., where she has worked since 2005.
As an active integrator of technology to help students seek out information and show what they have learned, she emphasizes media and digital literacies with her students and participates in a variety of Twitter communities and Computer Using Educator events with other educators.
She also serves on the board of the News Literacy Project, a national education nonprofit. In 2019, she was named Outstanding Secondary Level Social Studies Teacher of the Year by the California Council for the Social Studies.
