Megan Vroman is the founding principal of Ida B. Wells Middle School, a social action enrichment school. At Ida B. Wells Middle School, students engage in social action enrichment projects (SEM) as a core component of their middle school education. Vroman has been a middle school teacher, coach and school leader. Prior to joining the Ida B. Wells Middle School family, she served the West Education Campus community as principal for almost four years, where she led a staff toward significant improvement of student learning outcomes, moving the middle school from three to five stars on the Star Framework for D.C. Public and Public Charter Schools. Vroman earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University, a master’s degree in education from Arizona State University and an Executive Master’s degree in leadership at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University.
