Dr. Michelle Pacansky-Brock is a noted leader in online education with expertise in online faculty development, course design, and facilitation. Michelle’s work has helped online instructors across the nation and beyond understand how to craft relevant, humanized online learning experiences that support the diverse needs of college students. She is a two-time Sloan-C/OLC Award winner and the author of "Best Practices for Teaching with Emerging Technologies" and "How to Humanize Your Online Class with VoiceThread." She has served as conference chair for the OLC Emerging Technologies for Online Learning Symposium and is an advisory board member for the ELI series, 7 Things You Should Read About, and the NMC Horizon Report. She was previously the Innovations Lead of Teaching & Learning Innovations at California State University Channel Islands, and currently serves as the Faculty Mentor in Digital Innovation for the California Community College system.
