Michelle leads our EdSurge Tech for Schools Summit efforts. She holds an M.Ed in Ed Leadership from the University of LaVerne and a BA from Santa Clara University. Before joining EdSurge, Michelle was a teacher, research analyst, internship coordinator, principal, and district office director, with over 20 years in charter and traditional education. She is passionate about project-based learning, ed tech, and facilitating learning opportunities for educators. She has a strong background in educational reform through her work with schools within Big Picture Learning and the New Tech Network. In addition to being an authorized Google Education Trainer since 2011, Michelle is a member of the Buck Institute for Education National Faculty. She is a compulsive gardener, soup-maker, and record (yes vinyl) collector.
