Natalie Parmenter is a former elementary school teacher who produces educational content under her brand Primary Focus. She creates content to empower families, educate children, and support teachers.
Natalie was an elementary school teacher for 10 years, with the bulk of her career spent in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in North Carolina. There, she taught fifth grade, first grade, and kindergarten. She also taught first grade at an international school in Hanoi, Vietnam, for two years, where she created the first grade curriculum for all subjects.
During her career, Natalie had the privilege of working at schools that implemented the Leader in Me program and IB Primary Years Programme.
She resigned from teaching at the end of the 2021-22 school year.
Natalie earned her Bachelor of Arts and teaching credential from California State University, Northridge. She earned her Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University. She was a Teach For America '12 corps member. She lives in North Carolina with her husband and two cats.
