Rachel Baumsteiger, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral associate at the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence. Her research focuses on moral development and well-being among adolescents and emerging adults. Rachel received a B.A. in psychology from the University of South Florida and an M.A. and Ph.D. in psychology from the Claremont Graduate University with a concentration in positive developmental psychology.
Rachel has helped to develop positive youth interventions related to gratitude, purpose, prosocial behavior, and youth leadership. She is currently working on the development of assessments and interventions aimed at supporting adolescent well-being in secondary school contexts. She is also passionate about enhancing student well-being in post-secondary settings.
