More a practitioner than a theorist, Ricardo Elizalde currently hones his craft of mixing new media with language development in an English Learner classroom in San Francisco. His greatest joy is watching his students develop all their literacies in his classroom. He teaches at International Studies Academy. He has a bachelor’s degree in journalism, a master’s degree in instructional technology and is currently pursuing a doctorate in learning technologies. In his dissertation, he is exploring the implication of connected learning for English Learners.
