Scott M. Petri is a high school history teacher at John F. Kennedy High School in the Los Angeles Unified School District. He was named the 2021 Outstanding California Social Studies Teacher of the Year by the California Council for the Social Studies and a two-time finalist for CUE’s Leroy's Big Idea classroom innovation competition. Dr. Petri is also the co-author of The EduProtocols Field Guide: Social Studies Edition.
