Persephone ‘Seph’ Young (they/them) is a social architect, facilitator, and education consultant. Raised on St. Croix (Arawak: Ay Ay), they create independently through their Substack, the Constellation. A writer, maker and self-published poet, Seph blends a wide range of skills and practices to support communities as they create transformative and generative projects, programs and spaces that reflect their specific needs, values and strengths. They work with and for the people to steward their healing, development and self-determination. Seph’s intention is to love us all as joyfully, skillfully and fiercely as possible.
Seph has a dual Bachelor of Arts in human development and psychology from Brown University and a Master of Arts in educational leadership, politics, and advocacy from New York University. They are also a member of the Abolitionist Teaching Network and have been recognized for their contributions to youth program development in New York City.
In their free time, Seph is probably reading about astrophysics or epic fantasy worlds, doing a puzzle, making a music playlist or looking at the sky. If they had any intention of growing up, they’d want to be the moon. Find them on Instagram @the_constellation_byseph.
