Sheena Vaidyanathan has developed a district wide computer science program for Los Altos School District, which now impacts over 4500 students. She has taught coding to K-8 students for the past 8 years. Currently, in her role as the computer science integration specialist for the district, she supports integration of computer science in STEM classes and also teaches a middle school computer science elective and other 6th grade computer science classes. She conducts summer and Saturday computer science PD programs for local teachers at KCI, Foothill college.
