Tara Lifland is an Instructional Designer for the George Washington University’s eDesign Shop. In addition to developing stunning online courses, Tara works with a team of librarians to advocate for Open Textbooks at GW. She first became interested in the #GoOpen movement in her time working with the Saylor Foundation and the Office of Educational Technology at the U.S. Department of Education. During her time living abroad, she researched the future of work and how millennials learn which led her to pursue a master’s in Educational Leadership & Technology. With a great enthusiasm for open education, and the future of EdTech, Tara hopes to blend her global perspective and educational background to prepare the next generation of global leaders for the workforce.
