Tim Schwartz is the director of innovation at Whitby School in Greenwich, CT, which was the first school in the world to blend Montessori and International Baccalaureate (IB) approaches. He is always on the lookout for opportunities with the potential to unleash creativity, transform teaching and learning, optimize school operations, improve organizational culture and streamline administrative processes.
Schwartz likes exploring and challenging big ideas as well as implementing and evangelizing technological solutions. He has experience running his own business, working in the private sector and teaching in classrooms ranging from elementary through university. He presents and writes about digital citizenship, technology, education, content marketing and the maker movement.
He has a master's degree from Columbia University in Japanese pedagogy. He spent twelve years working in Japan and is fluent in Japanese.
