Vikas is Group Chief Executive of Tmrw Digital, which aims to help education technology fulfill its great promise of extending a quality education to every child throughout the world. By nurturing and investing in startups, curating conversations through events, and commissioning cutting-edge research, Tmrw Digital aims to connect the education and technology worlds by bringing together educators, governments, entrepreneurs, and investors to help them find better ways of understanding each other.
Vikas is also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Varkey Foundation, a family foundation that convenes the Global Education & Skills Forum and organizes the $1 million Global Teacher Prize, which seeks to celebrate the achievement of classroom teachers and uplift the status of the profession.
Vikas is a Visiting Practitioner in Education at Harvard University, an Honorary Lecturer at UCL Institute of Education, a Senior Leaders Fellow at the Centre for Science & Policy at Cambridge University, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, and was selected by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader for his work in education.
